San Diego County Portrait Photographer - Bre'r

I was looking through some old prints the other day and I came across two old portraits I shot of my good friend Darren. I shot these photos using my very first camera; a Nikon F3 35mm camera. This camera was given to me by my Uncle Jose and is what started my love and passion for photography!

Los Angeles County Portrait Photographer - Derock Tucker - Musician

If Derock Tucker isn't playing guitar at the local coffee shop's open mic night, you can find him in his studio composing tracks for an upcoming album, producing somebody else's album, teaching a music class, or helping to promote a show somewhere in Long Beach. You can be assured that at any given time Derock will have some kind of music project going on. He eats, breathes, and sleeps music. He called me up last week to set up a portrait session.  All I initially knew about him was that he liked to play guitar, so naturally I suggested, "hey, you should bring your guitar!"
Musician's are always interesting to work with due to the vast and colorful spectrum of personalities music attracts. Derock had a very laid back and easy going attitude while at the same time pensive and fully conscious. He was very comfortable in his own skin. Which made this portrait session flow very smoothly. Thank you very much Derock for letting shoot your portrait and good luck with all of your future projects. Cheers!

Los Angeles County Portrait Photographer - Ryan Milner - Actor / Freelance Illustrator / Jewish Tom Cruise!

I love shooting portraits and head shots!  It's always fun to go out and meet someone you might not know so well, or in this case someone who you might already know and get to know them a little better.  Ryan and I took an acting class together and also acted along side together in a couple B short films (I promise you will never see those films).  When he asked me if I would shoot his head shots, I couldn't turn the opportunity down.  We  packed a couple shirts in a bag and off we went through the streets of Downtown Long Beach.  I've known Ryan for  quite sometime now and the more time that goes by, the more and more I think to myself, this is Ben Stiller Doppleganger, this guy shares the exact same characteristics as Ben Stiller and when the light hits his face just right, he looks exactly like Ben Stiller, but at the same time you can argue that Ben stiller shares the same characteristics as him, Ryan Milner.   The other day Ryan dubbed Ben Stiller the Jewish Tom Cruise, I agreed with this comment and believed it to be a factual statement.  This means if Ben Stiller is indeed the Jewish Tom Cruise then it could be completely and entirely possible that yes! Ryan Milner can indeed be the Jewish Tom Cruise as well.  In this wacky world that we live in today boys and girls; I stand by the possibility that  Ryan Milner is the Jewish Tom Cruise, and I'll give it to Ben Stiller he was the Jewish Tom Cruise first and Tom Cruise... well, we all know he's not Jewish.  I'm sorry if your having a hard time understanding this, but if you have a friend who shares all the same characteristics as Ben Stiller you might understand what I'm talking about.  Thanks Ryan for letting me shoot your head shots and don't forget to finish making your brother's family that dog house! Los Angeles County Portrait Photographer - Shayon Daniels - Press Kit Photos

I first became acquainted with Shayon "Like Crayon" while working at our friendly fascist neighborhood coffee house! We shared a lot of surreal experiences together at this coffee house which was conveniently located across the parking lot from several half way homes and one of americas premier psychiatric clinics. On the other side of the store was a train station and bus stop, so we were always exposed to a very colorful cast of characters that only Long Beach could provide. When we weren't pulling chicken bones wrapped up in paper towels out of the toilet, getting our tip jar stolen, or watching co workers get assaulted by disgruntled patrons high off double shot latte's, we would often spend our shifts together analyzing Richard Bronson's failed attempt at flying his bazillion dollar hot air ballon around the world, or how crazy it was that our manager Mike had two cameos in Snoop Doggy Dawgs "aint nothin but a G thing" video.
Shayon was always the guy behind the counter in his head unconsciously humming some random prince tune or tapping a drum beat on the counter he might want to incorporate in a song he was working on later that night in the studio. It's not everyday you meet people like Shayon who's unyielding ambition and creative talent seeps from his every being. On this perticular Sunday we met up in Downtown LB. I was hoping for some street attire, but he showed up in his Sunday best... It was a church day, we could have chosen to rest on this seventh day, but we worked it anyway. Watch out for Shayon's album Hit Man dropping this fall!
